About Patentbureau De Nederlanden and our patent attorney
Patentbureau De Nederlanden was founded by Jurre G. Laddé MSc (Dutch and European patent attorney) to help inventors and companies protect their technical inventions and – more generally – to assist them in any patent matter. Our service is accessible, responsive, involved and flexible. Moreover, not unimportant, Patentbureau De Nederlanden, as a small office, can offer lower prices than larger patent firms.
Jurre studied Applied Physics at the University of Groningen, which has provided him a good basis to understand a wide variety of inventions. This allows him to protect fundamental physics inventions, for example inventions in the field of optics, electronics, electromagnetism, (organic) semiconductors, quantum technology, mechanics, materials science, nanotechnology. In addition, he has extensive experience in patenting inventions related to software, such as video streaming software, telecom, electric vehicle charging, consumer products, medical devices, etc.
After his studies, he worked for 7.5 years at a renowned patent firm in The Netherlands, where he was trained to become a certified patent attorney. He achieved top 5% scores for the mandatory European exams.
In addition to drafting and filing patent applications, Jurre has experience in patent enforcement, litigation, and in particular litigation involving standard-essential telecom patents. For example, he has worked on the side of HP (against a supplier of generic printer cartridges), OPPO (against Nokia), Samsung (against Ericsson), and on the side of an administrator of a patent pool with standard-essential patents.
Jurre has a strong intrinsic motivation to help clients move forward, is a clear communicator and, all in all, a patent attorney with valuable knowledge and skills for clients.
